The South Warwickshire Local Plan team have identified the area of Green Belt south of Westwood Heath Road as potentially suitable for development of up to 5000 houses (see map below).

Waste Lane is to be close to all traffic (including cyclists and pedestrians) from 6am on Monday 17th Feb until 5pm on Friday 21st Feb 2025. A diversion will be in place, see map below.
From HS2: "To enable the new railway to pass under Waste Lane, the road will have to be realigned over a new bridge before the existing bridge is demolished. Last year, a number of trees were removed to make way for the approaches to the new bridge. We now need to close the road for a week to remove the stumps. This is a complex operation as the tree roots are potentially wrapped around important utilities that are buried in the verge. For that reason, it will not be possible to allow pedestrians and cyclists through the closure" |
