Warwick District Council is appealing to residents to help support next year’s County Council election in May 2025.
The Council is advertising six paid roles to support the forthcoming election, from supervising polling stations on voting day to assisting with the count. Allocation of staff to locations commences in December of this year. The roles, which include Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks and Count Clerks, are available to anyone over 18 years, subject to proof of ID. Those applying to work at a Polling Station will need to be available from 6.30am to 10.30pm on polling day. The count venue is to be confirmed, with the date and timings to be also confirmed nearer the election. Full paid online training will be available for those applying for Presiding Officers and Poll Clerk roles. Lane in preparation for the road tie in works for the Crackley Road overbridge. In order to carry out these works in a safe and secure manner HS2 will close Crackley Lane between the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday 26 October 2024 and then from Monday 28 October 2024 to Thursday 31 October 2024 between the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to the nature of works being carried out, there is no safe through route for pedestrians and cyclists. A fully signed diversion will be in place while these works are carried out and access will be maintained to properties during these works. |
