Cromwell Lane bridge to be closed 7th April - 30th September 2026

The closure will be in place 24 hours per day, a diversion route for vehicles will be in place (see below), pedestrians and cyclists will be escorted safely through the closure. 

HS2 will be carrying out a programme of utility works on the bridge, including relocation of multiple sets of utilities and highway surfacing works, to return the bridge to its original alignment. To carry out these works the bridge will be closed to create a safe working environment. Working hours will be from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
