Burton Green Parish Council recently engaged an Arboricultural Consultant to carry out an inspection of the trees we have taken on at the Burrow Hill car park; their report identified some decay, tip dieback within the upper crown and major deadwood present in the mature oak tree.
The oak tree is in a prominent place, and the Parish Council must balance public safety, conservation, and the character of the village. After careful consideration, the Parish Council has contracted Warwickshire County Council Forestry to carry out the recommended works which include the removal of major deadwood and a 2.5 metre crown reduction. The works will take place on Thursday 12th February 2026 between 9:30am and 3pm and may continue on Friday 13th if necessary. Residents are kindly requested not to leave cars in the parking spaces near the tree on those days. Comments are closed.
