Warwickshire County Council and the Communities and Partnership team are holding an information webinar for anyone who is or would like to become a sponsor for Homes for Ukraine scheme. The Communities and Partnerships Team will be joined by colleagues from other teams who will be able to address topics such as accommodation checks, DBS checks, Visa applications, school admissions, and support from local Voluntary and Community Social Enterprise Sector. Our aim is to update sponsors on the latest news and information, provide guidance and support, answer questions and listen to ideas and feedback.

Following the government’s announcement that most households in England in Council Tax Bands A to D will receive a £150 energy rebate payment, Warwick and Stratford on Avon District Councils are putting all necessary procedures in place to ensure that those who are eligible receive their one-off payment well ahead of the September deadline.
 
The Councils’ Revenues team who are administering the scheme expect the majority of households who pay by Direct Debit to start receiving their payment directly into their bank accounts during April and May. Eligible residents who do not pay by Direct Debit will be contacted with the necessary information to make their claim for the rebate.
